Horrible Past 2 Weeks
Not sure if many of you have noticed that YGrab.com has been down for just over 2 weeks. In fact it is still not fully up as we speak. I was unfortunately at the mercy of my hosting company, once again. The company did not go down or anything but they might as well have.
The company had went through a sell out to another owner. I honestly do not think the new owner knew exactly what they were doing because they trashed everyones accounts and just now they have been coming back online. Even though the blog itself is up i really have no access to the back end. So i am not completely out of the hole yet.
Problem was that i did not make any recent database back ups. I had all my home directory files but not a recent DB. So this caused problems and forced me to wait it out until my sites came back up. Very stressful considering i could only read news and not write about it.
Anyways, i thought i would take the liberty upon myself and start a project that i thought would be good and would avoid this entire problem for good. So for the past 2 weeks I have been developing my own HOSTING COMPANY. I did not do this to solely make money but more as a measure to make sure my sites are always up and running. This was my solution to the ever dissapearing hosting companies that are out there.
Yes you can say i could have gone with a large hosting company but in all reality why not just take the matters in to your own hands and do it all yourself. This way i do not have to deal with support or anyone like that. Basically if my stuff goes down its due to a datacenter issue or i am a complete retard.
So if you were wondering about the hosting company you can find out all the details at ExpandHosting.com. I only offer reseller accounts and i do believe those are some of the cheapest prices around. These plans are GREAT for minisites. If you need any help with creating an account or just have general questions feel free to ask.

Hi and welcome back online
It happened to me in the past, too, and I decided to start a private hosting company to host my domains. Moreover a reseller account, or dedicated server enables you to sell every single domain+developed site without hassle, no migration steps needed only a change for cpanel password. I had some fun coding my HostBlend.com template. ciao!
Sorry to hear about your experience. Was this the debacle with fusedhosting? I almost signed up with them last year.. thank God I didn’t. I think I have chosen a very reliable host (even though it is a bit more expensive). Good luck with man!
@Mike
Yes it was FusedHosting!
You never know what to expect these days with hosting companies. The hosting industry is one of the most competitive online industries the world has ever seen yet the majority of hosting providers out there still don’t understand that the customer is #1. The turnover rate for hosting companies currently out there is tremendous. In my opinion you are better off running your own establishment, who is going to care more about the integrity of your data then yourself. Great job Ross and thanks for providing some insight on this matter.
