4 Easy Ways To Generate Traffic
We all want to generate traffic to our sites whether it be a blog or a minisite. Here are 4 easy ways to generate backlinks and traffic that will help your site grow. Not only will these tips help you grow right away but they will also have lasting effects that will help you as your blog expands.
1. Social Bookmarking
I have hear quite a few people say that this is useless and does nothing for backlinks ect. Well they are right in a sense that it really does nothing in the long run for backlinks. What it does is it gets your site out there and in front of peoples eyes. I am sure most of us have experience a stumble upon traffic surge. They are nice and makes you feel good. This is kind of a short term thing and is recommended especially to newer sites. You can find people that you can pay to do this on massive scales for you. You can mostly find those people on forums like, DigitalPoint.com and NamePros.com. Also promoting your blog posts or site this way yourself is something i recommend.
2. Directory Submission
This sort of goes in the lines of Social Bookmarking. Its more to get your site out there and around the Internet than it is to build up backlinks. Although there are some directories that average quite a bit of traffic and that traffic could spill to your site if you are lucky. You can also do paid listings at some of the HUGE directories out there. It will cost you a pretty nickle but they are awesome for traffic and backlinks. Plus it looks good when you get included in one of them.
3. Social Media
Taking your social media accounts and straining your traffic from them to another source is a popular favorite among marketers today. Take twitter for example: how easy is it for people to quickly pop open a link your just posted? Especially if you have some sort of weight in your niche. So when looking at ways to generate more your site always look in to the social media aspect of things, it can be a game changer.
4. Guest Posting
Even if you are running just a website, guest posting can liven things up quite a bit. It does more than just generate good amounts of traffic. More than likely the blog or website you are posting at will allow you some links back to your site so that will generate quality and long lasting backlinks. On top of that it shows that you are serious about what you are doing. Also the most important thing is that it makes you look more established and trustworthy to be able to offer advice on another persons website especially if that person is an authority in the space.
If you have any other ways of generating quick and easy traffic feel free to post them below.
Advanced Auction and Auction Promotion
Want to increase your bottom line of auctions?
I have a great method of finding and attracting end-users and potential buyers to auctions that might interest them. I have done this in the past for my own Sedo.com auctions and it has greatly increased the number of bids that these auctions get.
The service i am offering today is Advanced Auction and Auction Promotion. I am talking about two different kinds of promotion for your auctions. One is in advance to an auction and obviously the other a domain that is already in auction.
The First is Advanced Auction promotion. This means prior to a domain going in to auction whether it be Sedo, Traffic, GreatDomains ect. i will send emails, call, and do whatever it takes to get as many interested users as i can up until auction time. From past experience this works best with generic domains and domains that “have legs”. I will of course valuate the domain and the potential to find interested parties before i go ahead and start the promotion. I will only approve and do this for domains that i think have the potential to attract those users.
The second type of promotion is for those domains that are already on the chopping block and are being actively bid on. This will consist of sending emails, making phone calls, ect. to find quick bidders and buyers. This method brings in people quick but most people are not prepared to bid large amounts of money in such a short amount of time. I have noticed in the past this works best with afternic, sedo, ect. type of auctions.
Both types of promotion will be asessed by individual cases and discussed with the client. The potential of attracting potential buyers will be discussed and the likely hood of the domain selling for more than the current bid, if any.
Advanced Auction Promotion: $50
Auction Promotion: $30
These are flat fees for the time being. Do not expect these to stay at these prices forever. I will include the contact info of every person/company that i contact throughout the process. Also this will supply a contact list for you if the domain in question does not sell or the buyer backs out.

Entrecard? Traffic?

As you guys may have noticed i have a widget in my right sidebar that has an “E” on it. Well this stands for Entrecard. It is a type of social networking system that works a lot like PPC. The thing that is awesome about the whole system is that its free. The more amount of time you put in to it the more you get out of it.
To break it down we will look at the widget itself. Now to participate in the “traffic exchange” you must place a widget that displays an “Entrecard” on the blog. This is essentially called your “card”. This displays your advertisement as well as others when they “purchase” advertising. The widget is a must have and if you don’t have the widget up and running your account will be disabled. Once you have signed up with entrecard and placed your widget on your blog you will now see that the message below the card shows “Drop”. This means you can click it and you will earn 1 credit.
Credits are what you use to buy advertisements from other entrecard users. This is why it is so powerful, it’s free. So any blog can be advertised on a main stream blog so long as the owner of the blog allows the ad to be displayed. The advertisements themselves only last a day but these can be purchased for as little as 4 credits. The credits can also be purchased with cash through the entrecard site. This can range from $10 for 1000 credits to $100 for 10000 credits. There is a downside to buying the credits because there are limited amounts allowed to be bought at a time. Here is a picture of what it looks like when you can advertise on a blog:

That is what a card looks like when you are in the campaign menu. This is where you would go to open up new blogs and to advertise on them. Once you click advertise and you have enough credits it will turn to a blue color and say purchased.
Depending on how many credits it takes to advertise on a blog will be how long the wait is before your ad will appear on that blog. For instance it takes a wait of 6 days to see your ad on my blog. This changes every time someone purchases an ad on your blog or if no one advertises on your blog for that day.
You are prolly thinking “how are the credits calculated for advertising on a blog?” Here is a chart that will hopefully help shed some light on this:
The price calculation is simple, for every spot there are a number of adverts waiting to show. We take a base price of 2 credits, then for each of the adverts waiting, we double the price. The following table shows how it all plays out:
| Ads waiting on spot | Formula | Final price |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 2 | 2ec |
| 1 | 2 | 2ec |
| 4 | 2*2*2*2 | 16ec |
| 8 | 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 | 256ec |
| 10 | 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 | 1024ec |
As you can see you pretty much double the credits it takes to advertise on your blog every time someone places an ad on there.
Now combine all of this info with the maximum number of drops of 300 per day and you have the formula for a great and easy traffic exchange that is FREE. People love this because it can deliver mass amounts of traffic to a new blog.
You may have heard that the traffic is weak. Well its weak if you are not advertising and dropping on the right blogs. For instance i get a great CTR because i advertise/drop on MMO blogs. Obviously people going to or dropping from these blogs are going to be interested in domains because they want to make money. Using these types of strategies rather than just dropping on random blogs produces a good quality stream of traffic. Also having quality content and an updated blog will help with the CTR and readers
!
So if you own a blog get on over to entrecard.com and sign up. Start dropping. Future post include fast dropping and techniques on selecting your drops.
Good Luck!
