I am pretty sure by now most of the domainers in the space have felt the waves of Bido.com over the past couple of days. Yesterday was the first auction of the relaunch where they auctioned off “EquityGrant.com“. Though not a very good domain at all the auction was a success with the domain selling for $810.

If you have not heard of Bido.com yet or know what exactly it is i will explain it to you. It is essentially being called the “Social Domain Auction Platform”. The reason for this is because there is commentary and chat in every auction every day. This adds an extra in site from Industry Leaders and from the average joe domainer that wants to chat it up during the auction.

You are probably asking right now, “Ok, that sounds cool. How does this work?” Well its pretty simple. Bido.com revolves around “The Power of 1″. This means that 1 domain is auction off everyday at 1pm EST, 1 hour open bidding, 1 dollar no reserve, and 1 lucky winner. It really is that simple and is extremely exciting to watch and participate in.

Some of the domains up for auction in the coming days include BarPictures.com, FixedLoans.com, and DressOrganic.com.

So head on over to Bido.com and have a look for yourself and get to know the regulars. It is very interesting and should be something to pay attention to in the coming months.

FixedLoans.com is about to be auctioned off over at Bido.com. This name is pretty relavant is along the generic premium lines as far as keywords go. The thing that makes this auction so interesting is that the name was sold for $10,000 back in 2006!

I am sure the question is will this name bring in that same amount here? Well obviously we have discussed the factors that go in an auction and in to the value of a name. This name itself has some pretty amazing stats compared to past names that Bido.com has offered. This would, in my opinion, be placed in the top 5 names Bido.com has auctioned off this far.

Some notable stats on the domain are the number of advertisers for the term “Fixed Loans”. There are 93 ads! That is a pretty big amount compared to past names for auction at Bido. None the less that is big compared to the majority of domain names out there for sale. Also the overture/mo 8350, not a huge some but is worth something. The thing i do not like about the stats would be the wordtracker is only at 5 and the traffic seems to be minimal.

This name appears to not ever been developed which in return would be great for the buyer. Put up a simple mini-site with relavent info and reap the benifits of the MAX PPC which is $16.18! Wow that is a great number and whoever picks this up is sure to get a bargain if they plan on putting a mini-site up.

Now that i have shown that the name has potential i would like to point out Bido.coms new feature. CHAT!!! This is a cool feature and is something that will make auctions more enjoyable for everyone. Plus it will let the creators, bidders, watcher, and the person auctioning the name communicate in one area vs emails or ims.

EDIT: Bido.com went down due to new chat implications and the shear amount of people visiting the site because of the name. They will be running the auction tomorrow! Though it was exciting for the first 5 mins LOL.
