NEW! One Minute Domain Auctions!
We all thought that Bido.com was crazy with their auctions only lasting an hour. Well it just got crazier with a new site that is offering One Minute Auctions. You heard it correctly, that is they sell domains only for 60 seconds.
DNKO.com, or DNKnockOut as some people like to call it, is the very first of its kind. They operate under a live auction format with a chat room and all. Basically every 60 seconds there is a domain name auctioned off simultaneously one after another. The domain names that they auction off are from people that obviously want to sell their domain names.
Anyone is allowed to list domains with DNKO.com. Creating an account is 100% free and comes with no attachments or strings. Although its free to bid and create an account there it does cost money to list names with reserves. Here is the price structure:
“Min Reserve: $1 - Max Reserve: $99 Price To Submit: $1
Min Reserve: $100 - Max Reserve: $999 Price To Submit: $2
Min Reserve: $1,000 - Max Reserve: $9,999 Price To Submit: $3
Min Reserve: $10,000 - Max Reserve: $100,000 Price To Submit: $25″
I have also heard plans of special auctions in the future like TLD sensitive auctions and theme auctions. Though the standard at the moment at DNKO.com is “every domain is accepted”. Think this was a good move for such a fresh platform.
This type of auction is a very fresh idea and has a bunch of potential. Some things i do not really like about include the short auction format, who would have guessed. I know its to automate things but it would have made it more personal and more in tune if they had a live auction with an auctioneer ect. This way the names would not be passed unless they have absolutely no interest what so ever. Hope this platform evolves and creates a niche with in the industry.

Advanced Auction and Auction Promotion
Want to increase your bottom line of auctions?
I have a great method of finding and attracting end-users and potential buyers to auctions that might interest them. I have done this in the past for my own Sedo.com auctions and it has greatly increased the number of bids that these auctions get.
The service i am offering today is Advanced Auction and Auction Promotion. I am talking about two different kinds of promotion for your auctions. One is in advance to an auction and obviously the other a domain that is already in auction.
The First is Advanced Auction promotion. This means prior to a domain going in to auction whether it be Sedo, Traffic, GreatDomains ect. i will send emails, call, and do whatever it takes to get as many interested users as i can up until auction time. From past experience this works best with generic domains and domains that “have legs”. I will of course valuate the domain and the potential to find interested parties before i go ahead and start the promotion. I will only approve and do this for domains that i think have the potential to attract those users.
The second type of promotion is for those domains that are already on the chopping block and are being actively bid on. This will consist of sending emails, making phone calls, ect. to find quick bidders and buyers. This method brings in people quick but most people are not prepared to bid large amounts of money in such a short amount of time. I have noticed in the past this works best with afternic, sedo, ect. type of auctions.
Both types of promotion will be asessed by individual cases and discussed with the client. The potential of attracting potential buyers will be discussed and the likely hood of the domain selling for more than the current bid, if any.
Advanced Auction Promotion: $50
Auction Promotion: $30
These are flat fees for the time being. Do not expect these to stay at these prices forever. I will include the contact info of every person/company that i contact throughout the process. Also this will supply a contact list for you if the domain in question does not sell or the buyer backs out.
