Thoughts of an End-User

I stumbled upon a thread over at NamePros.com which has a link to basically the exact opposite of what we go through in thought process when a domainer sells a domain name to an end-user. Basically the link brings you to a forum where the end-user is asking others about buying a domain name for their site. From what i read domainers intimidate end-users.

This was interesting to read because they call our moves right from the start but their biggest flaw is valuing the domain in question. They think that if you are a domainer they assume you want boat loads of money or you simply will not sell unless they make a reasonable offer from the start. If only they see things from our side, ohh well as proven when most do go in to negotiations the domainer tends to come out on top.

I would also like to point out that even though appraisals from godaddy.com and such turn up to be low in this case the end-user still buys the name for litterally 83x more than what the domain in my opinion is worth. Then puts up a simple blog. Also they use the worthless paid services that domainers know not to touch…

Memorable Quotes from the Link:

“Well, thats a good outcome for you!
Sometimes they can be real pricks, and as soon as you express interest, they know they can jack up the price!”

“I tried again, bid $500 and they offered 10k! Sedo has options so you can ask things like “Please justify your asking price”. The domain owner never responded. A few days later I check back, and it has VoIP ads on it! Domain squatter bastards!”

LMAO! Anyways here is the link to read up on A view from the other side of the domaining fence”
