You Can Make Money Domaining With Less Than $100

Yes that is very true and most people making money in the industry will agree with me on that. There are many many strategies to be applied when domaining but most people just simply do not have the resources to make big purchases and create value out of them.

One of my favorite ways to make money with domains with less than $100 is playing the drop game. This takes quite a bit of research along with trial and error. Though it may take experience to actually make money catching domain names, it pays off quite well especially if you can makeĀ  a quick flip on the domain name.

Not every domain will sell and not every domain will sell for a lot of money. I have bought domain for $70 only to turn around and sell them for $100 because i could not get a decent flip. I have also turned $13 purchases in to $600 sales. Now that is some killer ROI.

Like i said it really depends on what you know about the domain market. There are a couple different places you can go to learn about making money with domains. The first place i highly recommend and that is NamePros.com. This is where i learned just about everything from domaining aside from the trial and error stuff. NamePros.com is a great domain forum that has plenty of great information along with a friendly staff and core group of members that are always there to help.

The next place, or places i should say, is Domaining.com. Domaining.com is a syndicate of all major domain name blogs on the internet. You can get everything from domain information to domain name industry news. This is a HUGE resource for the domainer that wants to take the next step in making money with domain names.

I highly recommend checking these two places out and getting to know other domainers. Pick up a few strategies from the blogs and even posts over at NamePros.com. Before you know it you will be flipping $13 domains for $1000. Never know it could happen to you ;) !

What are your selling techniques? Where do u find domains..namejet, godaddy etc? Do u sell to end users if so how do u contact them? or do u list them in the various places like sedo etc

  • Ross says:

    @David

I mostly pitch to end users or companies that could use the domain names for better SEO ect. I usually find domains anywhere i can, like i mentioned i like to play the drop game. I usually contact the end users directly through their site or to an admins email address if listed. I have some names listed at Sedo and other places but there are not to many sales there, mostly low ball offers.

    Ross,

The way to get rid of low ball offers on Sedo is to put in
    a minimum selling price.

I’ve done that with new domains I’ve listed at Sedo and it’s
    helped a lot.

Next is to tackle the older listings.

No this strategy doesn’t works anymore. In aftermarket you get outbidded and even if you get an expired name it will not make reg fee in 1 year.

If you consider it for flipping then you get no buyers for that particular name so your 100 gets stuck.

  • http://www.internetfirm.com/ is where the best generic domains for sale are in one place on one page! Don’t EVER forget the .us.com or .im or other extensions. If you do you will miss the boat for sure!!!

WE should ALL UNDERSTAND that selling domains cheap UNDERCUTS and UNDERMINES the entire business we are in like a cheap prostitute!!! Everyone should network together and shoot beyond the stars concerning our asking price and stand firm to raise the stakes!

You can also buy domains that already have a listing in DMOZ or the Yahoo directory. Even a few uniques a day can make it payoff with the right monetization techniques.

Kind of doom and gloom. Obviously the category killers go for lots of money. It finding liquid sellable names that you after.
