WhyPark.com Case Study: One Month Later
If you did not read about whypark and how they became free go ahead and catch up first. I also started a case study at the same time to see really how well they get you caught up with your domain parking business. I let this run for just over a month so i can see what a real average between the visitors actually visiting the site naturally and what the revenue might be like in that situation.
What i found was pretty normal as far as the service goes. The traffic was not great but there was traffic. I think that was the biggest part of the whole case study was to see if i could get some traffic from no traffic. I picked this domain because i knew that it was not perfect and that it did not have ANY traffic what so ever before putting it up at whypark. Below is a screen show of the traffic and revenue of the past month:
As you can my biggest day was 6 visits. Not really anything exciting but it is something from nothing. Now you may see the revenue there and see there was some clicks. Well yes there was but it was in the cents region. Nothing to get crazy about but if this were a higher paying niche it might have been a bit better.
One thing that i was no happy with at all was i could not find a way to put google analytics in anywhere. Now i did not have to have analytics but i would have liked to have some kind of analytics engine to see where exactly the traffic was coming from and why they went there. Other than that it was a breeze to use and fun to watch.
If you were wondering what the total traffic and revenue was:
Traffic: 73 Visits
Revenue: $0.21
Considering that i only set this up with the basic set-up with no custom pages or articles i am sure that it can be optimized much much more. The biggest thing for this is that i wanted to make sure it was done with a basic set-up done in the easiest way possible, basically worst case scenario. This way that if it did produce results then it means that you can easily achieve what goals you want to set for the sites you create with whypark.com.
