What is Evergreen Content?
If you have never heard of Evergreen Content you should probably know exactly what it is when developing a mini-site or any site for that matter. It can make or break traffic streams from search engines over a period of time. This is also something that is not to be taken lightly when going in to development.

Evergreen Content
I have thrown the term around quite often when talking about mini-site and general article writing. The reason i think about evergreen content so much is because it is basically content that never gets old or outdated. This means that if you look up how to register a domain name and you find one of my articles, likely that article is still up to date even if it was written 2 years ago. That is the single reason why evergreen content is so important when it comes to mini-sites.
We all look for terms that are being searched now but never look at what might stand the test of time and be searched 2 or even 5 years from now. Nor do we take this in to consideration when registering domain names. Evergreen content has become such a force in blogging alone that it is almost mandatory to have some form of it every couple of posts to keep your traffic streams up over time. I know i have a couple of articles on this blog that get searched quite often and come straight from google.
Another thing that makes evergreen content so powerful is because of the simple fact that it is searched over and over again through google and other major search engines. This translates in to new readers and people looking for something in general. That turns straight in to cash if you have adsense or other ppc ads on your website. This is one reason you might see adsense in different positions over affiliate banners or paid banners on this blog. I make more money off of adsense than i would if they were paid.
So that brings us back to “what is Evergreen Content?” Evergreen Content is content that never goes old and is something that the general public will find useful, clear, and quality over a period of time. It is used to build readerships throughout time and help sustain traffic for a website over and over again. Evergreen Content should be the base of and website since it is the material that people will find most useful and provide you with what longevity in your websites.
So next time you are going to start a blog, make a mini-site, or register a domain in general think about evergreen content and how it will form a base for your website. Find topics that people will want to know 5 years from now and create what they need to find now.

The key to our success is being an article site which contains original content. No duplication Please. If you have already published an article elsewhere, we don’t want it. It will not have the same value to the search engines as a Unique Article does.
