Bido.com Pick of the Week 5/26/09-5/29/09

Author: Alright this week we have a short line up due to the holiday. Its a pretty interesting week compared to past auctions with mostly ccTLDs making up the list. On top that there are 2 .us names. This is pretty cool considering that most of the time the only auctions going on the Bido.com auction block are .coms. Here is the list for this week:
Tuesday – DisabilityCompensation.com
Wednesday – Blues.us
Thursday – Bankrupt.us
Friday – History.cc
My pick for the week is Bankrupt.us. It is a complete category killer. Considering that bankruptcy is a pretty big thing happening in the .us through this economy this has the chance to make .us look really good. The max ppc for this one is $12+ along with over 92 advertisers for “Bankrupt”. That alone would be worth the amount of money that this one could reach. Possible plans for the name could be development obviously, i would personally go for a blog(i am partial to blogs 
). The end user market for this is pretty wide as well even though being a .us i am sure it is probably getting some type of traffic, but even if it wasn’t it wouldn’t be hard to get some. I think this will easily make it to low $x,xxx without hesitation.

I think those next four will get many bids. They will each get over $1,000. Three of them are one -word domains with ccTLD that are getting stronger. With “history’ leading, because the word “history” covers all of the other domains.

Bankrupt.us seems like the clear winner to me. Huge PPC $$ potential. Much bigger than History and Blues.
Too bad the seller put it up on Bido though. Probably won’t get anywhere near what it’s worth.
I agree with you on that Matt. Bido.com is a great marketplace but sometimes the buyers just are not there. Great chance to get a good domain name for cheap though
